SIS Leadership Foundation, established in 2024, is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women of color in Minnesota. The organization addresses a critical leadership gap: the lack of accessible financial literacy, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities for women of color, particularly those from underserved communities. These individuals face systemic barriers in accessing essential resources that foster financial independence, career growth, and personal empowerment. By providing culturally relevant education, mentorship, and community-building initiatives, SIS aims to dismantle these obstacles, empowering women of color to achieve sustainable success.
Unlike many nonprofits that focus on general women's empowerment, SIS Leadership Foundation tailors its programs specifically to the unique challenges and experiences of women of color. The organization integrates financial education, homeownership support, entrepreneurship training, and health education within a culturally relevant framework. By pairing participants with mentors who understand their backgrounds, SIS creates a supportive network that fosters not only personal growth but also community impact, making our approach both comprehensive and highly effective.
Founded and led by individuals who have personally navigated these barriers, SIS has an authentic connection to the community it serves. Our programs are developed with cultural competence and informed by real-world insights, enabling us to build meaningful relationships with participants and create transformative change.
